Invoicing, bookkeeping and tax — sorted, without a finance team
You didn't start a business to do bookkeeping. These are the tools that send the invoice, reconcile the books and get you ready for the taxman — most of them built for a company of one to fifty, not an enterprise finance department.
A hands-on guide to the software freelancers and small businesses use to send invoices, keep their books, and stay on top of tax — grouped by the job you actually need done.
Independent review. We open each tool's live site by hand — and flag the few a bot-wall keeps us from checking. The outbound links are affiliate links; that never changes what makes the list.

How we picked
We started from a broad shortlist of accounting and invoicing tools and opened each site by hand. Several were name-collisions with the accounting keyword — a jewelry brand, a coffee roaster, apparel — not accounting tools. We left them off:
- Mabina — the live site (mabina.it) sells silver jewelry, not accounting software.
- Greg Norman Collection / Merle Norman — golf apparel and cosmetics — matched only the word “Norman”.
- Intelligentsia, SIHOO, ITEAD & other “intelligent” hits — coffee and consumer electronics — matched the substring, not the category.
- Binance / Photobucket / AVON “account” pages — consumer account pages, not business accounting tools.
